I have to admit it: I always wanted to buy myself a big US car (in particular the Lincoln Continental Mark V), but driving home from work today in my friends convertible (a Mazda MX5 or ‘Miata’ as it’s known in the US) is making me rethink this. I was impressed with how smooth a ride it is. You can clearly hear us talking and even the radio playing in the background. Can’t imagine a more relaxed way to travel home: blue skies, sunny and a nice warm Friday afternoon.

I’ve been a huge fan of the Half-Life video games series, ever since the original came out in 1998. It set some new standards in storyline and also graphics (altough it basically uses a modified Quake engine). I remeber how I hugely enjoyed the opening scene for Half-Life with its cinematic effect and how it pulled you right into the game (something I only enjoyed again when playing Call of Duty 4). Is Steve Ballmer a coke-head?
Every evil empire has it’s henchmen that do the dirty work. At Microsoft it just must be Steve Ballmer. I mean: the guy is a real PR nightmare! There are many embarassing video’s of him around, but I didn’t know this one yet: a compilation of a bunch of terrible Ballmer video’s. When you see the really old stuff you can only come to one conclusion: he has always been this way. Because of his outrageous behaviour there have been many speculations that he’s a coke head. After I posted my story about Adam Savage’ obsessions, I came across this Google video of him attending the Last H.O.P.E. Hacker Conference (www.HOPE.net) which took place on July, 18-20 2008 at the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City.
