I have been sick for four days now: and it sucks. I haven’t had a bad cold (or influenza) like this in at least 2 years. So I am not used to being sick any more. It started last Thursday: after a few hours at work I started to feel my throat. The next day (Friday) I din’t even feel like getting out of bed, but I did anyway. At the end of the day I was glad I could go home and start my weekend. Well, when I woke up Saturday morning I knew I was sick for sure: I had a light fever and a headache. Bad thing was: I had to get out to do groceries or I would not have anything to eat. Also I had arranged that I would go over to my dad to get some fresh asparagus from him and then drive by my sister to deliver some asparagus to my brother-in-law. So I jumped into the shower to get refreshed a bit. How I did it I don’t know, but I managed to do everything I had to do and then just jumped right back into my bed and slept for 16 hrs or so. Yesterday I started to feel a bit better, but I decided to stay home today and make sure I can go to work tomorrow without me going in to early.Funny thing is: about the same time I got sick the weather got really bad here: it has been raining and storming since last Thursday and this week doesn’t look like an improvement either. Oh well. Welcome to the Dutch summers…
