I’ve been a huge fan of the Half-Life video games series, ever since the original came out in 1998. It set some new standards in storyline and also graphics (altough it basically uses a modified Quake engine). I remeber how I hugely enjoyed the opening scene for Half-Life with its cinematic effect and how it pulled you right into the game (something I only enjoyed again when playing Call of Duty 4). You know what: it’s the small things in life that can annoy me the most. Like this morning; it took me 1hr. 19min. to cover 47 kilometers (29 mph). That came up to an average speed of… 35km/h (21,7 mph). Usually when it takes me that long, there has been an accident or it’s bad weather. No such thing this morning however. Every evil empire has it’s henchmen that do the dirty work. At Microsoft it just must be Steve Ballmer. I mean: the guy is a real PR nightmare!
