Hmm, another year gone! Today I hit 39 years and it is the last year that I can say I’m “thirty-something”. Next year it wil be the “BIG FOUR-O” (man: where does time go?). Anyway, my girlfriend Carrie got me the coolest present so far: an Abacus/Fossil PDA watch! It is a great addition to my watch collection. I love it and I surely will use it a lot. It features the Palm OS and I have owned quite a few Palm Pilots (three to be exact). As far as organizers go, the Palm Pilot is certainly is a good choice. And this Abacus is really cool! Check out a video of it in action at C|net. I seriously think that intelligent watches have a future, although research suggests that people are using their mobile phones more and more as a watch. Off course mobile phones start to integrate more and more functions as well: one of the reasons why I have a MDA Compact phone that combines a PDA with a phone. In all honesty that makes my PDA watch a bit redundant, but since I collect watches this is a watch that definately has a place in my collection!
