My girl and I just got back yesterday form a 4 day trip to St. Augustine, the oldest city in the US. Nice town, not too big and some funny things to do there, like the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum. Very funny! Not so funny is the fact that I hurt my back somehow and that the weather was kinda bad…
Monday morning we started packing for the trip and somehow when I got out of bed and bend over to grab my ba, my lower back hurt literally like someone stabbed a knife in it! Jeezz! For a few seconds I thought I could not make the trip at all! But we justy booked a rental car and the hotel a day before so not many options there.
Right now I would say its about 50% better than monday, but it still hurts when I bend forward. I can stand, walk sit an lie down without much hurting, but sleeping is really annoying because for some reason I can not turn over without a big hassle. It’s like I have no power left in my back or something. Having said that: I slept pretty well last night.
Anyway: back to St. Augustine. We had a little bit of bad luck there: the weather was bad in comparison to Tallahassee. It was cloudy all day and every day around 4 or 5pm it would start to rain. On wednesday it poored down so hard we had to go back to the motel and watched a movie in the afternoon (Batman Begins).
On our way back on thursday morning we were driving towards good weather: back in Tallahassee some clouds but overall sunny and nice… Oh yeah: we got a rental car: a purple Chrysler PT Cruiser. It was pretty inexpensive: 80 dollars for 4 days!
I hope my back gets back to normal soon! With the 4th of July weekend coming up I hope we have some fun! We can swin, lounge around and go to the movies (I have seen Star Wars III, and Batman Begins and we are going to see War of The Worlds today and hopefully I can see Fantastic Four next weekend before I leave).
