Guess I have a lot of short stuff to write about, so I decided to throw them together in one big post 😉
It was a long, boring week this week. Work was slow, I was uninspired and in general I was just too easily distracted. Guess it’s the time of year again: fall is always such a drag. The days are getting shorter, the weather gets bad, leaves are falling and it rains most of the time. To top things off the damn traffic jams are getting worse and worse under these conditions.
Thursday morning I just didn’t even get to work: after driving for 10 minutes I already got stuck so I turned around, drove home and worked at home for the day. It turned out to be the only day this week that was actually productive and useful.
Again, Norton sucks
Ok so I installed XP SP2 on three of my computers. It had a few rough edges to it, but nothing to bad except for one computer: my Athlon 1.33mhz. It still had Norton Internet Security and such on it. After I installed SP2 I could not browse anymore. It just blocked all my stuff. So, I tried to de-install it. No go there. I finally resolved that by manually deinstalling it and deleting all existing Norton stuff. Problem solved.
No other issues so far with SP2.
Birthdays & such
Yesterday (Sept. 24) was Zach’s birthday (my girlfriend Carrie’s son). He turned 17. I have known him since he was just 9 years and off course he changed a lot (especially since he’s a teenager now). He’s extremely intelligent and does very well in school.
Each year its getting harder to find a gift for him, but I found one (with help of Carrie) this year: one of those cool mobile FM transmitters that makes it possible to listen to your MP3 player on your car stereo.
Another birthday coming up this weekend: my sister is turning 39 Sunday. How time flies! I’m getting some presents for her this weekend. Hope I find some inspiring stuff. Tomorrow I’m going over there to visit her and the kids.
The great white shark (2)
Last Saturday I finally went to go see the “Great White Shark”. I will post the photo’s shortly. The car turned out to be very, very interesting. It’s in very good condition (in fact one could drive it right now without having to much work on it). I’ll post more info about it soon.
