Besides the fact that today the summer officially ended, its also a fact that August 2004 was the wettest month (in Holland) sind 52 years. We have had unusual weather actually: we had a small tornado (we call it a “Windhoos”), hailstorms and lots of rain.
May started out as a cold and wet month. In June and July however, we had an official heatwave. But just as I wanted to buy a A/C it stopped and it started to rain. And rain… And rain…
It just so happens that during this month we had a lot of outdoor stuff going on here in my hometown Almere. For instance the “Music Below the Sea” festival. Because of the weather we had less visitors than before.
Oh well, there is no sense in complaning anyway: we cant control the weather (yet)…
