After my first blog on this sad case, many things have happened. For starters, a 19th judge has ruled that there is no reason to start the forced feeding again. Instead, people are using this whole sad case to suit their own political agenda. If you believe in life then you must also embrace the concept that there is death and that enough is enough. As I stated before: most people treat animals with more respect and when they suffer they just are “humane” enough to grant them a dignifying way to die, with the least pain involved.
Now call me a left wing liberal, or whatever you want, but I think (American) politicians are bloody hypocrites. Bush in the first place. How the hell can he state that, when there is a shred of doubt, you should always choose for life? At the same time this born and bread Texan with the brains the size of the nuts of Chihuahua, convicts hundreds of inmates to a death sentence. Without any hesitation.
