Neulander

I think it must be at least three years ago that I was haunted/fascinated by a song. In fact I know it was the song “Clocks” by Coldplay. For some reason the song triggered something in me in such a way that I had that song in my head for weeks. To this day it is actually one of the few songs that I actually happen to know the lyrics for – and that was 2003! Well, I have a stumbled on another – stupid – song. I mean it is one of those glitzy vague ‘new-pop’ish’ ‘plastic’ tunes. I stumbled upon it by accident when I was restoring my music collection (due to problems with my NAS). The song was on a compilation CD called “Music for modern people” and I just was skipping to some of the other numbers when it’s catchy lyrics caught my ear: “I think about sex. I think about God. I’m thinking about money”. All done in a mater a fact way. Immediately it clicked in my mind and – yup – it won’t leave my head! I have played it a million times already. It happens to be a song from this New York based group called “Neulander”. Totally obscure of course. But who give a damn? I like it. Anyway, you can search for it and either choose: listen to a 30 second sample at Last.fm, or listen to the whole deal at iLounge 24×7; just search for Neulander and request the whole song. Play at your own risk though!
