Yes ladies and gentlemen; we've got a live one here. It's been short of three years ago that I wrote about teacher Debra Lafavre, and now we have another hot - and I mean really hot - teacher that could not resist 'mingling' with her students. To be more exact: "Hope Jacoby, an athletic trainer at Tustin High School has been arrested on suspicion of engaging in unlawful sex acts with a student at the school. Jacoby, 23, who has worked with athletes at the school for the last year, was arrested last week on suspicion of oral copulation of a minor and unlawful sex with a minor. Jacoby, who lives in San Juan Capistrano, was jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail. Investigators believe there may have been other victims." Given the age difference in this case, I can't really say that I believe the guys that she had sex with are really "victims". The only real reason I can think of why this was bad is the fact that there was a teacher/student relationship there, which is bad off course. But let's be honest guys: there must be a million people out there having relationships at work, and I'm not even talking about adultry. I think that one has to look at each case individually and decide what's going on there.
Oh, by the way: the way she was busted was classic: sending photos of herself to students via text message. All I know is that she looks really great (see her MySpace.com page for more).

Say "yes" to rehab, Amy!
It's a well-known fact that the music industry does a poor job of protecting their artists from self-destruction. They seem more eager to make money than to protect the person behind the money. A good example is Amy Winehouse, the English soul, jazz, and R&B singer and songwriter. She is about to hit rock-bottom which is a shame for such a talented person. Winehouse is a textbook example of a troubled artist, she dropped out of school, and first started experimenting with drugs at a young age. Nevertheless her success is really big: she won 2008 Grammy Awards in the categories of 'Record of the Year', 'Song of the Year', and 'Best Female Pop Vocal Performance' for the single "Rehab", while her album "Back to Black" won in the 'Record of the Year' award and a nomination for 'Album of the Year'. Producer Mark Ronson's work with her won the award in the Producer of the Year Non-Classical category. The singer also earned a Grammy in the 'Best New Artist' category. She performed You Know I’m No Good and Rehab at the awards ceremony on February 10, 2008 via satellite, as her visa approval came through too late for her to travel to the US as a result of her drug past.
As you can see from the After & Before photo above, drugs are definately not making you more attractive. I hope Amy Winehouse somehow finds a way to get het act together so we do not have read her obituary on the Internet later this year.

Deep Throat
Every person on this planet knows what the deal is about a parent that warns their kid to not do something ("do not eat after dark, don't do drugs, don't have sex" etc..). Yes, you have guessed it: it makes it more interesting because it's forbidden. Chances are your kid will do it behind your back to find out why. It's reverse psychology at it's best.
Well, something similar is going on in Holland at the moment. Dutch public broadcasting company BNN said they are going to air the '70's porn classic "Deep Throat" on Feb. the 23rd. Off course Dutch Christian politicians that are part of our government here, ("ChristenUnie") are trying to prevent this: as is the common Pavlov reflex of Christians when it comes to sex. Off course their objections just bring attention to the issue and I can predict already that the movie will be the best watched TV-event this year.
The funny thing is that history repeats itself. Or - as I always like to put it: "History does not repeat itself, people do." It seems that the ChristenUnie has not learned anything from the history behind "Deep Throat". The effort by local and federal government to ban the movie (a national effort to eliminate 'smut'), only had the opposite effect: the movie became a cult classic and a lot of famous people went to see the movie including Truman Capote, Jack Nicholson and Johnny Carson. In fact the movie became a phenomenon.
It became a national cause and sparked the debate about freedom of speech in relation to sex. From that perspective it's not weird to show the movie as it is a testament to the state of things in 1972 in the USA. BNN will also have a discussion program and a documentary about the movie (see clip below). There are a lot of dimensions to the movie and the story behind it, so I'm sure it's worth watching.
In a sense I guess we should thank the ChristenUnie for all the attention they have drawn to the movie by their "moral appeal" to BNN to not air the movie. Well guys: no one it forcing you to watch it so what's the fuzz about?

Hot for teacher
What is it with teachers these days? I mean: since when has it become a fashion for hot teachers to tutor boys in their free time and give them some extra 'sex education'? About two weeks ago we had a scandal in Holland were a school administratrator got caught in action with a 16-year old boy (I mean: literaly caught: the photos roamed the Dutch part of the Internet). And now we have this case of some 34-year old teacher from Delaware who is being accused of statuatory rape of a 13-year old boy (guess he got jeleaous?). Allegdly they did 'it' 28 times in one week. The boys father caught on because he though it was suspicious that the teacher called his son so much. Now, the problem with cases like this is: when a male teacher gets a relationship with an underage pupil, everyone really sees it as 'rape'. If an underage boy has sex with an adult teacher they do not see him as a victim. I must say that - speaking for myself - it would have been a wet dream come true if something like that happened when I was young. However: psychologist tend to think it is actually harmfull because, in their eyes, there is no equality in this kind of relationship. Personally, I think this depends on the case: I have seen 13 year olds that act and look like they are 16, and 20-year olds that act like they are 13.
If convicted, the teacher could face 20 years in prison for each of 28 rape charges and would be required to register as a sex offender. Court papers say she confessed to having intercourse with the boy 27 times and performing oral sex on him once, and said she made fake calls to the boy's parents, pretending to be the mother of one of his friends inviting him for a sleepover.
