For those that are oblivious to this kind of stuff: today is June 6 2006, or: 06-06-06. And 666 is the number of the beast. In other words: today is a good day for devilworshippers. And, believe it or not: worldwide Christians are praying to keep the devil from doing bad stuff today. Also in Holland: Dutch Christians gathered at some 50 sites across the country to pray for 24 hours from 6 p.m. on Monday to 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Actually the only noteworthy seems the fact that a remake of the movie "The Omen" is coming out today. Not withstanding the fact that I am not religious myself, I must confess that I have always had a fascination for horror movies with a religious theme. In fact, of all horror movies, "The Exorcist" is one that always succeeds in scaring me. In fact, this (long) weekend I watched a movie called "The Vistitation" that has a strong 'Christian' good vs evil theme (a small town torn apart by supernatural events involving a mysterious stranger and his unsolved past).
